The Moore County Middle School baseball squad has not lost since March 2 as they have strung together 10 consecutive wins to sit at 11-3 on the season.

The Moore County High School Raiderettes blew it up in the fifth inning against Shelbyville, scoring seven for a come-from-behind 7-5 win over the Eaglettes. The Raiderettes had trailed the entire contest as Shelbyville held a 5-0 lead going into the bottom of the fifth. That’s when the Raiderette bats came alive to score the winning runs. The hot inning allowed the Raiderettes to outhit their guests 10-to-7. Lailar Logan was on board the rally train as she was 2-for-4 at the dish with a run and an RBI. Abbie Bateman followed suit as she was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Meanwhile Anna Deaton went 2-for-3 with a run. Ellie Carter registered to RBI for her squad and hit a triple-bagger.

The Moore County Middle School softball team ended a two game skid in a big way, pounding both Liberty and Huntland in back-to-back wins.

The Moore County High School Raiders had their impressive three-game win streak snapped this past week as they lost a pitcher’s duel to Shelbyville and then were handed a second-consecutive loss by Coffee County.

The Middle School Raiders stretched their winning streak to five, sweeping a home and away series over Huntland.
