The Moore County Middle School softball team ended a two game skid in a big way, pounding both Liberty and Huntland in back-to-back wins.

A new rule will be a part of the TSSAA affecting student athletes in grades 6-8 and grades 9-12, that being a one-time transfer rule. This comes after Governor Bill Lee signed Senate Bill 16 into law on Feb. 23.

After starting the season 2-0 the Moore County Middle School softball team finally caught a loss, falling 9-2 to Westwood after tearing up the Fayetteville Tigers 13-3.

The Moore County Raider Middle School baseball team has started the season with home and away splits against Westwood and Cascade while taking a close loss to Lewisburg.

There will be no three-peat at the state championships as the number- two ranked Richland squad shut the door on the Raiderette playoff quest, ending their season 49-40 in the second round of the regional tournament.

The Raiderettes were able to string together seven hits but only got one run to show for it as they fell 11-1 in the their season opener against Cannon County in Woodbury.

The Moore County Middle School Raiderettes opened their season with a 6-5 win over Cannon County on a walk-off error by the Lady Lions.
