Motlow eyes last month of seasons

The Motlow State Buck baseball is sitting at 1321-1 as they entered the last month of the season.

Most recently, the Bucks ended a three-game skid by beating Volunteer State 11-4 after taking it on the chin from the squad 11-6 and 1211 in back-to-back games.

The Bucks issues have been in road games as they are 5-14 when traveling but are 8-7-1 in the friendly confines of home. They are also having issues in conference as they are 5-16 in conference play.

On the girls’ side, things are also lagging as far as wins and losses as the Lady Bucks sit at 6-29 overall and 5-17 in conference. However, unlike the baseball team, home has not been a harbor as they are 1-12 at home with that lone home win coming 2-0 over Jackson State on March 28.

They are presently on a four-game losing streak, dropping double headers to Chattanooga State and Cleveland State, which they hope to snap when they host Southwest Tennessee Community College April 11 for a double header. The Lady Bucks split the earlier meeting with Southwest in early March.
