Middle School Raiders win 14 straight

The Moore County Middle School Raiders made it lucky 13 in row with an 8-3 win over Liberty.

The win completed a twogame sweep of the Patriots as they beat the DeKalb County boys 2-0 two weeks prior.

Sully Townes had a huge game as he was 2-for-4 with the bat, knocking in four runs. Brantly Chapin did the honors on two of the runs as he was 2-for-4 at the plate and had a triple bagger. The Raiders outhit the Patriots 10-to-7 on the night.

A foursome of pitchers worked the hill for the Raiders as Clay Moses, Laken Wade, Austin Scherff and Beau Switzer combined to fan 12 Patriots.

Their 14th consecutive win came in a close win over Eagleville as the Raiders came out victorious 8-5. Scout Murray and William Thompson were the only two Raiders to have multiple hits, both of them with two. Murray also had three RBI and a run scored. Sully Townes was good for two runs and an RBI while Caseon Casteel scored two runs. Brantly Chapin had one hit but it was a two bagger.

Five Raiders combined on the hill to pitch the win including Beau Switzer, Cayden Mullins, Clay Moses, Austin Scherff and Lake Wade. They fanned 11 Eagles during the outing.
