Giel named new MCHS principal

ndy Giel has been named new principal at Moore County High School, taking the place of Josh Deal who is leaving the school’s helm to take another position within the local system.
Giel brings 21 years of experience in education to his role as principal. Throughout his career he has served as a teacher, coach, and athletic director, building strong relationships with students and staff while supporting both academic and extracurricular success.
With a background in special education, Giel is passionate about meeting the needs of every student. He believes in differentiating instruction to ensure all learners are supported, challenged, and given the opportunity to succeed.
Giel is committed to creating a positive, student- centered school culture grounded in respect, consistency, and high expectations. He values strong partnerships with families and the community and looks forward to working together to support student achievement.
Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.
