Frontier Days this weekend

Frontier Days is back again, with a program packed with activities, shows, food, and fun for everyone. Festivities kick off on Friday with the following activities:
10:00-5:00 FCE Cultural Art Exhibit at the IBIS Building -Entries will feature a number of different art forms made by Moore County residents. Check out the talent.

4:30 Ride Ticket Sales startat the red and white tent in Wiseman Park -The kids will want these.
5:30 Car Cruise In on the square – Shine ’er up and show ‘er off.
5:30 Chicken Poop Bingo in front of the Pizza Parlor – Hopefully that chicken is well fed just before beginning the game.
6:30 Kids’ Pedal Tractor Pull on the square – With 9 weight classes.
7:00 90 Proof performs at the gazebo – Playing bluegrass. Spontaneous dancing encouraged.
Saturday is packed full of events and starts early.
8:00 Veterans Battle of the Wings at Wiseman Park -Gentlemen, light your grills. The USO will be there supporting our veterans.
9:00-3:45 Lodge Skillet Toss at Wiseman Park -Husbands, do you know how far your lady can toss a skillet?
10:00 Tims Ford Rangers at Wiseman Park – Learn about the park’s flora and fauna.
10:00-2:00 Tractor Show at Wiseman Park -Plenty of muscle there.
10:30-3:30 FCE Exhibits at IBIS Building -In case you missed it yesterday.
11:30-12:30 Live Auction at the gazebo – Bide early and often.
1:00 Tractor Parade around the square – Check out these monsters.
1:30 Moon Pie eating contest at the gazebo what is your favorite flavor?
2:00 Apple Pie contest at IBIS Building – What could be more American?
2:00 Battle of the Wings Judging at Wiseman Park – Will your favorite win?
3:00 Magic Voice Singers at the gazeboAn America 250 performance – Patriotic and heartwarming
4:00 Kids Patriotic Costume contest at the gazebo – Cuteness overload.
4:30 Kids Parade – Decorated bikes, trikes, scooters, power wheels, strollers, and walkers.
5:00 Kids Power Wheels demolition derby – Not to be missed. You might spot a future NASCAR driver.
5:30 Chicken Poop Bingo Another chance to win.
6:00 Smokey Mountain Balloon rides at Wiseman Park – An uplifting experience.
6:00 Eian Rivera on the square – A high energy dancer and entertainer, he dances with the crowd. Good music, good fun.
7:00-9:00 Cody Cozz performs on the square – Playing country music, old and new.
9:00 America 250 Fireworks – This should be an epic show.
The SCA Steak cook-off returns, with divisions from child to adult. They will be located at Wiseman Park.
Miss Mary Bobo’s will have specials on Saturday from 11:10-3:35, a meat and two for $10.95, or fried chicken with green beans, mac and cheese, and fudge pie with JD whipped cream for $12.95. Food trucks will be on the square, as well as food and craft vendors.
There is sure to be something for everyone, from food to music, to activities, and plenty of good, old-fashioned fun for all ages.
