Bobby Alfred Womble was born on March 16, 1934, in Moore County to Payton and Eva Patterson Womble. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in Murfreesboro, TN, on April 29, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Payton and Eva Womble. Also, brothers Walter, Burt, Buford, and Roy, his sisters Arlene Bennett and Floy Parks, and his great-grandson, Greyson Tucker Shasteen.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Womble, daughter Pam Shasteen (Richard), stepson Robert Hensley (Lee Ann), grandson Jackson Shasteen (Taylor), and greatgrandson Jettson Shasteen.

Visitation for friends and loved ones was held at Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg on Saturday, May 1, 2026. A Graveside Service was held on Sunday, May 2, 2026 at Smith Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery with Chris Harris offi ciating.
