A strong line of thunderstorms erased the spring weather early Monday morning replacing the balmy 70s of the past week with temperatures hovering around freezing, prompting forecasters to call for a hard freeze Monday night. Snow swept in mid-morning Monday, coating the ground even though forecasts call for highs to return to the 70s by the end of the week just in time for the first official day of spring Friday. – Roberta Nee Adams photo
