The temperature was already 86 degrees at the start time of the walk. Regardless, approximately 138 walkers lined up and began walking at 9:30 am, all for the cause of supporting Alzheimer’s research and resources. The steadfast commitment of those walkers made the Lynchburg-Tullahoma Walk to End Alzheimer’s a success.

There were resource stations set up with information for caretakers. Lynchburg Nursing Center provided biscuits and sausage for the participants. Cold bottled water was provided for the walkers and support staff. Whiskey Creek Coffee brought in a food truck as well.

The walk was well sponsored by numerus groups and businesses from both Moore County and Coffee County. Heartfelt thanks go out to all of them. Staff and volunteers did a great job in keeping the event running smoothly.

Finally, a huge shout out to all who braved the heat to join the fight to end Alheimer’s again this year. They certainly deserve it!
