Embrey takes Raiderette helm

The Moore County Raiderettes have a new coach as Catie Embrey will bring her winning record to Lynchburg this season.
Embrey comes to Moore County by way of South Gibson where she built a winning tradition, making the state finals on several occasions. Prior to building the program at South Gipson, where they were barely a .500 team before she arrived, she had finals appearances at Summertown where she was coach. She also had prior coaching experiences at Dickson County and Columbia Academy.
“She has a track record of success,” the school announced in making the hire. “In 12 years as a head coach, her teams have won 278 games and made five state tournament appearances. Her teams have been known for their effort and intensity, especially on the defensive side of the game.”
When asked about coming to Moore County, Coach Embrey said, “My family and I are so excited about this move. We can’t wait to be a part of a community that supports their schools and appreciates the value that athletics provide. I’m so ready to build relationships with these young ladies and get started adding to the tradition of Raiderette basketball.”
