Special Olympics Spring Games May 4

The Special Olympics Area 13 Spring Games will take place on Monday, May 4, at Tullahoma High School (THS), bringing together athletes from across the region for a day of competition, celebration, and community spirit.

Participants from Moore, Coffee, Franklin, Lincoln, and Bedford counties will gather to showcase their talents and sportsmanship in a variety of events. The Spring Games highlight the dedication and achievements of Special Olympics athletes while fostering inclusion and support throughout the community.

Athletes are encouraged to arrive by 9:15 a.m., or earlier if possible, to prepare for the opening festivities. The day’s schedule will begin with check-in at 8:15 a.m., followed by athletes lining up on the track between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. for the Parade of Athletes, which will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.

Immediately following the parade, Opening Ceremonies will take place on the track, including the Pledge of Allegiance at approximately 9:50 a.m. At 10 a.m., the Law Enforcement Torch Run will make a ceremonial lap around the stadium, symbolizing the start of the day’s competitions.

The event will feature a full schedule of athletic activities and is expected to conclude around 2:00 p.m.

Community members, families, and supporters are encouraged to attend and cheer on these inspiring athletes as they demonstrate courage, determination, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.
