Nellie B. Burt, 92

Nellie B. Burt, 92, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, Florida surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1933, in Moore County to the late Tom and Audys Huffman. Nellie was saved and baptized at the age of 14. She joined Ridgeville Baptist Church, where she attended until she married Edward Burt. She then began attending Turkey Creek Methodist Church. In 1988, after thirty-six years of marriage, her husband Edward passed away and Nellie moved to Florida. There, she attended multiple Methodist Churches as well as participated in worship at Allegro Senior Living. Nellie loved to travel and would go anywhere. She cherished the time with her beloved family and enjoyed cooking for them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Edward Burt; son, Alexander “Alex” Burt; grandson, David Kolito; greatgrandson, Josh Kolito; great-great-grandson, Alec Shires; and brother, Bill Huffman.
Nellie is survived by her loving son, Danny (Karen) Burt; grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Tepelides, Dan (Jennifer) Burt, Steve (Tina) Kolito, and Laura Kolito; great-grandchildren, Brittany (Jake) Simmons, Stephanie (John) Rosier, Olivia Burt, Claudia Quintero, Heather (Bobby) Shires, Kim Kolito, Paige Bradley, Audrey Kolito, Josie Kolito, and Matthew Kolito; and great-greatgrandchildren, Mollie Mae Kersey, Salem Simmons, Everett Rosier, Dominic Shires, Mollie Joan Shires, and Daniel Benitez.
