The Raiderettes were able to string together seven hits but only got one run to show for it as they fell 11-1 in the their season opener against Cannon County in Woodbury.

Whitney Fanning and Bailey Dunn led the way at the plate for the Raiderettes, both going two-for-three at the dish with Fanning being credited for the team’s sole RBI. That run was scored in the second inning, marking the only time Moore County drew even in the contest. Cannon went up 1-0 after one and the game was tied at 1-1 after two. However, the girls from Woodbury picked up three in the third, four in the fourth and three in the fifth to cement the win. Cannon outhit Moore 11-to-7 in the game.
