The Moore County Raiderettes were not able to get it done on the road as they fell in their season opener 3-1 to the Cannon County Lady Lions.

The Raiderettes went behind 25-23 in a close first set and then rebounded to take a 25-19 win the second set. However, it was the Lady Lions the rest of the way in the non-district tilt as the hosts finished out the match 25-17 and 25-16.

The Raiderettes will next play Eagleville.
