Lawn Sessions return for fall

With all of the hustle and bustle of The Jack in town October 9 and 10, the perfect way to relax and recoup follows closely. The Lawn Sessions are back. Friday, October 16 the music starts off at 5:30 pm. The Huffer Brothers, Lynchburg’s favorite sons Andy and Lee, will be headlining the event. Kentucky singer/songwriter Hunter Flynn fills out the bill.

Andy and Lee are stepping away from their packed Nashville show schedule to come and play for the hometown folks. After playing all over the country and logging thousands of hours in Nashville venues, they have developed their own distinct style. Remaining true to their working-class roots, they carry on the no-frills traditions of Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings.

Hunter Flynn has come more recently onto the music scene from Kentucky, with his first gig in 2022. Since that time, he has developed his own sound, which he calls Appalachian Soul, a blend of country, gospel, and blues. The self-taught artist has toured both the U.S. and Europe, gaining recognition for his sound and songs. Flynn was named the 2025 Artist in Residence at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. Hopefully the cooler weather will prevail for what promises to be a delightful evening of music. Bring the lawn chairs, a blanket, or something else to sit on, kick back and relax to the music. Or, if you have regained your energy after The Jack, you’re welcome to get up and dance the night away!

The event is being sponsored by the Tennessee Tourism Investment Project, Inc., and will be raising money for the United Way. $5 from each ticket sold will be donated to United Way to help them continue all that they do. United Way supports the Moore County Resource Center, which, along with their other programs, directly benefits Moore County residents. If purchasing tickets online, just enter the code UNITEDWAY at checkout. Tickets are limited this year, and may be purchased through The Lawn Sessions. com.
