Storybook Theater sets performances

Angela Comp Has chosen the book It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny by Marilyn Sadler to convert to a play for her Lynchburg Storybook Theater Club this year. The play is a comedy about P.J. Funnybunny, who is not happy being a bunny, so he goes to live with different animals to see which he would rather be.

The group of thirteen actors is well into rehearsals now, and recently hosted Tennessee Wildlife Officer Tommy Wannyn for an educational presentation about native Tennessee wildlife and their habits. He brought with him pelts from several native animals, including a possum, a skunk, a beaver, a raccoon, and even a bear and a cougar. The children were quite impressed with the different pelts.

The group meets for practice and set design on Monday afternoons at the Moore County Public Library. This year’s performances will be:

Tuesday, May 26 at 10:30 am, at the Moore County Senior Activity Center

Wednesday, May 27 at 10:30 am, at the American Legion Building, and

Thursday, May 28 at 2 p.m., at the Lynchburg Nursing Home

The public is cordially invited to attend, and feel free to bring a friend! The community’s support is appreciated.
