Metro Council discussed whether or not to try once again to pass a $.0025 sales tax increase on the November ballot at Monday’s meeting. That would raise Moore County’s sales tax to 9.75%, the same as every county surrounding Moore County. If passed, the tax increase would amount to an extra quarter on a $100 purchase.
