At 7:39 a.m., Burns was driving a 2011 Nissan Versa southbound in the 3300 block of Lynchburg Highway when her car crossed over the center line and struck a semi traveling north head-on.

Three others were injured according to the THP preliminary report: Lynessa Harper, 28, of Tullahoma; an 11-year-old juvenile and a 3-year-old child. All were wearing seatbelts or child restraint.

The driver and all three passengers were airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital. Apart from the fatality, not information on conditions has been obtained.

The truck was driven by Harrison Inman, 65, of Huntsville, AL. A passenger in the truck was Elujah Thomas, 25, also of Huntsville. They were examined at the scene and not hospitalized.
