Moore_County_BallerzMoore County will jump back into District 9-A play as the Raiders and Raiderettes host Community this Friday night.

While the Raiderettes were playing a non-district game, Community’s girls (12-3, 5-1) have faced a pair of 9-A opponents in the last week.

The Viqueens lost at Forrest 39-37 last Friday night and then rebounded to beat Middle Tennessee Christian 72-40 on Tuesday. Community won its last meeting against Moore County 71-42 back on Dec. 3.

Community’s boys (10-7, 4-2) enter Friday’s game coming off of a win at Forrest and a three-point loss to district leader Middle Tennessee Christian.

Friday night is also Winterfest at Moore County. The queen will be crowned and the attendants announced in between the girls and boys games.

On Saturday, MCHS hosts Tullahoma High School at 6 p.m. A ‘Pink Out’ is planned for Saturday’s game and fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

Tullahoma High School has agreed to join the campaign and encourages its fans to wear pink as well.

Special Moore County pink T-shirts will be available at the game for $15 each.

All proceeds will go toward the Hot Shots, Eagles & Birdies Relay for Life Team goal for the 2014 Moore County Relay for Life. Anyone who wants to order a shirt prior to the contest can call Jonah Deal at (931) 307-8815 or Belinda Smith at (931) 703-4398.
