Weekend Weather: Cooler temps, a little rain in forecast

There’s going to be lots to do in Lynchburg this weekend, especially Saturday with the Alzheimer’s Walk early Saturday and the Pancake breakfast to follow. It will be cooler but possibly a little wet.

Following predicted rains Friday night, the National Weather Service forecasts Saturday to be mostly sunny, but there is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m., with a high near 61. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 40.

Sunday is forecast to be mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Sunday night sees a 20% chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.

The outlook isn’t that promising for the Moore County Raiders who’ll be in Robertson County, north of Nashville, to take on Jo Byrns.

Friday sees a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.Friday night calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

So prepare for some possible rains, maybe some heavy, wind, and temps anywhere from 70s at kickoff to 50s during the game.
