Officials at Moore County schools recently implemented Lobby Guard, a visitor security system that requires all guests to sign in and provide a photo ID. The system also tracks late arrivals and early dismissals.
Front office staff scan a visitor’s photo ID when they enter the school then produce a personalized name tag with a photo to allow students to immediately recognize who is and isn’t an approved guest.
The system also immediately performs a background check on the guest against national sexual offender databases. The school can also develop their own “no entry” list “to keep out known … drug dealers, suspended students, and other unwanted guests.”
