Billed as the return of “the Glory Days,” race fans from across the state will have the opportunity on Saturday, Sept. 7, to see stock car racing at the Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville and experience the Tennessee State Fair all for the price of one admission ticket.
Kinsey Emery, State Fair events manager, said tickets for the Fair, which opens this Friday and runs for 10 days through Sept. 15, are now on sale at all Middle Tennessee Kroger stores.
“For those who are race fans or who may want to see the historically famous Fairgrounds Speedway for perhaps the first time this is a great opportunity.
“The $5 admission ticket purchased in advance at Kroger’s gets you in the Tennessee State Fair and also free admission to the Speedway racing events,” Emery said.
Practice rounds on the track beginning at noon, qualifying at 5 pm, pre-race ceremonies at 6 pm, and the first race is scheduled to start at 6:10.
The Tennessee State Fair, a family tradition for the Volunteer state since 1906, held annually in the heart of Nashville at the State Fairgrounds.
