Bonner, Thomas ‘Tommy,’ 75, of Winchester, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at Lynchburg Nursing Center. He was the son of the late John Earl and Clara Wiggins Bonner. He had served in the Tennessee Army National Guard and retired after 35 years of service at Jack Daniels Distillery. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and had ridden over 300,000 miles. He also loved anything to do with mechanic work and woodworking in his shop. He is survived by his wife, Wilma McAfee Bonner of Winchester; daughter, Vickie (Scott) Newman of Murfreesboro; granddaughter, Jenny Newman of Murfreesboro; foster son, Kenneth (Tammy) McBroom of Indianapolis, Ind.; brother, Buddy Hambrick of Mt. Herman Community; cousin, Mary Hambrick (Tim) Dean of Shelbyville; and loyal friend, Ronnie Cauble of Lynchburg. Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 25 at Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, with Rev. Donald Gregory officiating. Darrel McAfee, Jeremy Hambrick, Steve Hambrick, Tim Dean, Kenneth McBroom and Mike Key will serve as pallbearers. Interment at Lynchburg Cemetery.
