Students enrolled at Motlow College this semester and new degree-seeking students who have completed admissions requirements can register now through May 27 for summer classes and through Aug. 27 for fall classes, according to Greer Alsup, director of admissions and records at the college.
“Having the option to register early for summer and fall terms is a tremendous benefit to students,” she said. “Registering as early as possible increases their chances of getting their first choice of classes and class schedules.”
Students enrolled at other colleges who want to take only summer classes at Motlow can register on May 1 if they have completed admissions requirements.
Motlow offers several options for students wanting to take summer classes. These include two half sessions and a regular full-term session. First-half classes meet from May 28 to June 27, and second-half classes meet from July 1 to Aug. 1. The full term, which includes Motlow online classes, begins on May 28 and ends on Aug. 3.
Students also can take specified summer courses on Saturdays only at Smyrna Center from June 1 to Aug. 3, and online classes through the Regents Online Degree Program from June 3 through Aug. 9.
Staff members are available for advisement and registration assistance at Motlow locations in Moore County, Fayetteville, McMinnville and Smyrna. Class schedules for the summer and fall semesters are posted on the Motlow website at <www.mscc.edu>.
Students are advised to check the website or call the location where they plan to attend to verify course availability and fee payment deadlines.
Fall Saturday-only courses at Smyrna Center, Motlow online, and RODP classes begin on Aug. 24. Regular fall classes begin on Aug. 26.
