State Senator Jim Tracy and State Representative David Alexander will be special guests at the May meeting of the Moore County Republicans. Chairman David Baldovin invited these officials to give an update of the recent state legislative session.
Senator Tracy represented the 16th Senatorial District, which included Moore County. He will be on the August 2 primary ballot for the newly formed 14th District, which still includes Moore County.
Representative Alexander served the 39th Congressional District, which included Moore, Franklin and Lincoln counties. He will be on the August 2 primary ballot for the new 39th District. It includes Moore, most of Franklin and part of Marion counties.
“Although these gentlemen both ran on the Republican ticket,” says Chairman Baldovin, “they were elected to represent everyone in their districts. Therefore, we are inviting any of their constituents who wish to attend.”
The meeting will be Tuesday, May 29 at 7 p.m. in the County Building.
