According to a report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Terry J. Pride, driving a 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup truck was traveling eastbound on State Highway 50 in the middle of the road near the Moore County/Lincoln County line.
Derrick J. Everett, 24, of Winchester, was driving westbound, in a truck hauling beer. Everett swerved into the eastbound lane to avoid Pride’s vehicle. Then Pride’s truck swerved into the westbound lane. The Cargo truck ran over the top of the Silverado, which came to a final rest in the westbound lane. The cargo truck came to a final rest off the eastbound side of the roadway.
“This was not a weather related crash based on the investigation and witness statements,” stated the THP report. The crash was investigated by Trooper Christy Wallace.
