The Moore County Raiderettes pushed past Collinwood Friday afternoon to earn a place in the TSSAA State Softball Tournament — otherwise known as the Spring Fling. Moore County beat the Region 6A runners up by a final of 6-2 in Lynchburg.
Raiderette pitcher Kasey Harvey helped bag the win for Raiderettes. Harvey allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four over seven and a third innings of work.
Kyleigh Camp went 2-3. She tripled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.
In the third, Moore County scored on an RBI double by Sierra Bateman — who sent Kelsey Camp home.
The Raiderettes survived Collinwood’s sixth inning surge and put up one run –an RBI single by Sarah Raby.
