State Assembly honors Jack Daniel Distillery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — On Monday, April 11, the Tennessee General Assembly honored the Jack Daniel Distillery on its 150th Anniversary as “America’s Oldest Registered Distillery.”

House Joint Resolution No. 711 passed unanimously and commemorated a “significant milestone in the history of a Tennessee product that is recognized and sold around the globe.”

The resolution also noted the distillery’s significant economic investments in the state, role as a major employer in the region, status as a top-ten export for Tennessee, and tourist attraction that hosts more than 250,000 visitors from around the world every year.
