The triangles on the square are no more.
“The triangles and signage that were on the square were not legal,” Metro Mayor Bonnie Lewis said. “The Moore County Highway Department has done a wonderful job removing them, putting up state legal signs at the four entries and painting new directional arrows and yield lines.
“When the weather allows, they will cover the areas where the triangles were. I will be working on plans to repaint the parking areas on the square, at the county building and in the park behind the businesses.”
The traffic flow now means that the drivers in the circle have the right of way; cars entering the circle must yield.
