LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — South Central Human Resource Agency Director Paul Rosson presented a check in the amount of $10,000 to Metropolitan Moore County Mayor Sloan Stewart. These funds represent Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) funds that will be used within the community to address a variety of needs.
“Metropolitan Moore County will donate $3,500 of the funds to the Moore County Library to purchase computers and software for the adult education courses. The remaining $6,500 will be used for the construction of handicap and family restrooms located in the downtown area of Lynchburg,” said Stewart.
CSBG funds are awarded to SCHRA from the Tennessee Department of Human Services. SCHRA was able to allocate a portion of these funds to all 13 counties in their service area. SCHRA serves Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Moore, Perry and Wayne counties.
“SCHRA provides a variety of services to residents in Metropolitan Moore County. We are happy to assist in projects that benefit the community in a positive way,” added Rosson.
