Lynchburg is known for its one-of-a-kind stores and restaurants that add to its character and charm, and another restaurant on the square that is sure to be loved by tourists and locals alike will be complete any day now.
Paige Jones is no stranger to the business world. She has worked as an accountant at AHF Consulting for the past 30 years, owned Sweet Southern Spirits on the square for the past 14 years, and owned a bakery that started in Nashville before moving closer to this area. Main Street Deli Pub, her newest venture, will serve old-fashioned sandwiches with high-quality ingredients brought to you by Chef Ed Lopez, a veteran with many years of deli experience.
Her menu will include items like corned beef, roast beef, soups, pastrami, spirited desserts and cheesecake. Even the chips will be high-quality, and Jones likened the restaurant to the style of a Chicago or New York deli.
Jones noticed a lack of parking spaces for motorcyclists on the square, so she has created a space specifically for them behind her restaurant. Guests may enter both through the back entrance and the front entrance, and in front of the back entrance is a patch of gravel surrounded by a white fence that serves as the perfect place to park a motorcycle. This section also has plenty of great outdoor seating.
The interior of the building is filled with details and décor that enhance the environment and make it a cozy place to visit. Jones stated that Ray St. Philip of Winchester went “above and beyond” to renovate the building and make it a place everyone will love.
Jones has found a way to achieve one success after another, and this new deli is sure to be no different. The need for HVAC upgrades led to the delay of her business’s opening, but she is working hard to get it resolved so that she can open her doors soon. She is excited to offer the public a place that will offer top-notch service, and she looks forward to seeing everyone. Be sure to keep an eye out for the grand opening, and check out the Facebook page by searching for Main St. Deli Pub.
