This year Santa Stocking Stuffers received applications for assistance from 62 families. Farmer’s Bank and the Jack Daniel’s Credit Union hosted Santa Stocking Stuffers trees. Boxes for food and toys were located at the Dollar General Store and Motlow College.
Moore County’s Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops collected food. Toys and money were received from the International Society of Jack Daniel Collectors. Many people gave money for the Stocking Stuffers to purchase gifts and food.
“We cannot begin to express our gratitude to our community for all their help in making Christmas a joyful time for our area families that struggle to provide the basics for their children,” said coordinator Peggy Gold. “The gifts have been wrapped and food has been packed in boxes.”
Distribution is set for Saturday, from 9 a.m. until noon at Moore County High School. Postcards have been mailed.
All recipients must have this postcard in order to claim their gifts. Everyone should make arrangements to have their gifts picked up by noon on Saturday. No gifts will be taken to another location or picked up earlier than Saturday.
