Groce, Ronald Van ‘Rip,’ 52, of Mulberry passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville after a short illness. A native of Fayetteville, he was a son of the late Claude and Ruth Groce. He worked in construction in framing and concrete. Ronald loved to fish and participate in fishing tournaments; he enjoyed being around friends and he loved life. He is survived by a brother, Randall Groce and his wife Memory, of Fayetteville; sisters Rita Baker, of Lynchburg, and Jimmie Sue Pruitt and her husband Frank, of Elora; nephews Jamie and Jason Baker, Frankie, Doyle and Brad Pruitt, Tony and Timmy Groce; a niece, Christy Cooney; and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, beginning at noon, with funeral services at 2 p.m. at the Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Myers officiating.
