LYNNVILLE – The Moore County Raiderettes were eliminated from the postseason Saturday night after a 10-0 loss to Richland High School in a TSSAA Class A Sectional contest.
MCHS managed just two hits, while Richland had eight, including two home runs.
One of the homers was a grandslam in the second inning that gave the hosts a 6-0 lead and more than enough momentum to cruise to the win.
Emily Powell and Kasey Harvey had Moore County’s only two hits.
Though Richland had just eight hits against Moore County pitcher Kasey Harvey, the Lady Raiders made each one count. Richland junior Taylor Parker, who has verbally committed to play at UT-Chattanooga, had two home runs and seven RBIs in the win.
The game marked the final contest for Moore County seniors Kelsey Camp and Sarah Raby, who graduated from MCHS a day earlier.
