Moore County’s girls and boys basketball teams are still in action. After a 58-55 loss to Community in the District 9-A semifinals, the Raiderettes will play Huntland at 6 p.m. Monday in the third-place game.
The Raiders topped Community by 13 points, 60-47, in Friday’s district semifinal and will play Huntland for the championship at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ryan Northcutt scored 25 points and Blydge Farrar added 21 in the Raiders’ win over the Vikings. After a five-game losing streak, the Raiders have won 11 of their last 14 contests.
Both games will be played at Eagleville High School. Both the MCHS girls and boys have already advanced to next weekend’s Region 5-A tournament. The girls will have to go on the road for the opener, while the boys will get to host their first game.
