Trailing 7-1 entering the fifth innings, the Moore County Raiderettes rallied past visiting Forrest 8-7 on Thursday afternoon.

The Raiderettes scored five runs in the fifth inning to close to within a single run. In the sixth, Kasey Harvey roped a triple to right field to score Emily Powell, knotting the game at 7-all. A two-out single by Mariah Ward pushed Harvey home for the go-ahead run.

Harvey then went to back to work in the circle.

After a lead-off single by the Rockets, Harvey got some help thanks to a 5-4-3 double play. She then retired the final batter on slow roller to first base as MCHS completed the rally and stayed perfect in District 9-A play.

The Raiderettes (7-2 overall, 5-0 District 9-A) were scheduled to host Eagleville on Friday afternoon.
