The Moore County Raiderettes (19-3, 6-0) came out flat Tuesday night in a district match up against Cascade (10-6, 3-4).
Cascade jumped out to an early lead before the Raiderettes tied it 3-3 at the five minute mark. The Raiderettes and the Lady Champions swapped baskets for the remainder of the first period to end knotted at 11.
At the half, the Raiderettes pulled ahead thanks to a couple of free throws at the two-minute mark by point guard Kelsey Camp.
In the third, points by Rachel Garland, Camp, Sarah Raby and Erin Thomas helped the Raiderettes pull ahead by six.
Cascade continued to battle back in the fourth period. At the five-minute mark, a Lady Champion guard drove in for a lay-up to get Cascade within five. With two minutes left, the Raiderette D clamped down, mounting eight unanswered points. The final score was 47-35.
Rachel Garland (18) and Sarah Raby (16) combined for 34 points. Other contributing Raiderettes were Erin Thomas (6), Kelsey Camp (4), Savannah Williams (2) and Erica Limbaugh(1).
The Raiderettes continue to lead in District 9A with a spotless 6-0 record. They will tangle with Forrest (8-10, 4-3) on Friday in Marshall County. Tip off is at 6 p.m.
