The Moore County High School softball team rolled to a pair of wins over Eagleville in a doubleheader in Lynchburg on Monday to remain unbeaten in District 9-A play.
The Raiderettes claimed an 8-1 victory in Game 1, which started in mid-afternoon and was a make-up game from March 21 rainout. In the second contest, Moore County’s bats were quite until the third inning when the Raiderettes exploded for 10 runs to break the game open. They eventually won 12-2.
Kasey Harvey picked up the win in each game. She gave up two hits and struck out 10 without issuing a walk. Moore County scored a run in the first, one in the second and then three runs in the third inning and three in the fourth.
Eagleville’s lone run came in the top of the fourth inning.
In Game 2, Moore County Harvey worked the first two innings, striking out five while allowing just one base runner. She gave way to Emily Parks in the third inning.
