Posted on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 1:06 pm

Tullahoma – It’s Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee and all of England’s taken to the streets to celebrate. Church bells ring, artillery booms and crowds cheer “God save the queen” as the British monarch celebrates her 60 years on the throne.

In nearby Tullahoma, the Celtic Cup Coffee House brings a bit of the festivities to southern, middle Tennessee with their Queen’s Jubilee Afternoon Tea from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 9.

The quaint, neighborhood coffee house will transform into an English parlor with delicious tea and “biscuits” to celebrate the English tea culture. They also offer a full menu, dessert, gelato and espresso and fresh-brewed coffee.

For more information, call (931) 563-7733 or visit them on Facebook. •

If you go >> Take Highway 55 towards Tullahoma and turn right when it deadends into North Jackson Street. Go six blocks and make a left onto East Lincoln Street. Go approximately four blocks and turn left on South Anderson Street. The Celtic Cup is on the right.
