Moore County had little answer for Huntland’s Seth Satterfield and Jacob McLennah. The Hornets’ duo combined for 51 points as Huntland beat Moore County 75-64 on Friday.
At the MCHS gymnasium, the visiting Hornets knocked down 13 3-pointers. Satterfield had seven of those, including five in the first half as the Raiders defense did little to slow him down.
Despite the offensive output from Satterfield and McLennah, Moore County managed to hang around for most of the game. Huntland built a 14-point lead in the third quarter, but the Raiders pulled to within six at the end of the period when Dillon Davis scored at the buzzer.
Satterfield added eight points in the fourth quarter, however, and McLennah sank another trey to help hold off the Raiders.
Moore County was led by Blydge Farrah, who scored 16 points. Dalton Barrier netted 13 and Ben Harvey had 10.
It marked the third straight loss for the Raiders (3-7). Moore County will host Richland on Saturday night.
