Erin Thomas scored 16 points and Makayla Ray added 12 as the Moore County Raiderettes beat Huntland 66-39 on Friday. The Moore County girls sank seven 3-pointers while routing the visiting Lady Hornets in front of a standing-room only crowd at the MCHS gymnasium.

Moore County built an 11-8 lead in the first quarter and carried a 32-17 lead to the lockerroom at intermission. The lead ballooned to 20 in the third quarter. The Raiderettes stayed well in front in the fourth quarter as well, despite playing much of the second half without senior Sarah Raby, who was saddled with foul trouble.

Raby finished with six points. Erica Limbaugh and Savannah Williams had nine each and Kelsey Camp added eight.

Alexis Smith paced Huntland with 20.

Moore County (7-3) won for the sixth straight time.

The Raiderettes will host Richland at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
