LYNCHBURG, Tenn. — The Jack Daniel’s barrel tree is up and ready for Saturday’s Christmas in Lynchburg celebration.
Christmas in Lynchburg is a daylong event that includes contests, cookies, Christmas trees, shopping, a parade through downtown and lots more.
One of the event highlights for the past few years is the lighting of the Jack Daniel’s Barrel Tree.
This year the tree is in a new location. No longer beside the historic Motlow House near Majors Blvd., the tree has been assembled just to the right of the main parking lot at the Jack Daniel’s visitor’s center near the bridge that crosses the East Fork Mulberry Creek.
Folks may begin gathering for the annual lighting of the most unique tree around 5 p.m. It’s a family-friendly, community event that will include light refreshments — no alcohol. The tree will be lit around 5:30 p.m.
