Motlow College advisors have been busy since the beginning of April helping students register for summer classes.
Extra staff is available for advisement and registration assistance at all four of Motlow’s locations: Moore County, Fayetteville, McMinnville, and Smyrna. Help is also available at the college’s website, including a complete listing of classes available for each summer session.
“Summer sessions provide Motlow students a great opportunity to earn credits in a shorter timeframe, increase students’ chances of graduating on time and ease students’ course load during other semesters,” according to Rhonda Cotham, director of student success.
Motlow offers several options for students wishing to pursue their education over the summer months. The Maymester (Intersession) term is a condensed two-and-a-half weeks of intensive study in selected academic areas and runs from May 7-24. After Maymester, a variety of courses are offered in first-half and second-half summer sessions, which are completed in approximately five weeks each.
The first-half session of summer begins on May 29 and ends on June 28. The second-half session begins on July 2 and ends August 2. Full-term summer classes are also available at some of Motlow’s locations. Applicants are advised to check on the college’s website or call the location where they plan to attend to verify course availability.
Another option for students wanting to take summer classes is online courses either through Motlow or Regents Online Degree Program (RODP). Motlow online courses for the summer are considered full-term classes offered from May 29 to August 2. RODP online courses begin June 4 and end August 10.
