Harton Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department Director and Chest Pain Center Coordinator, Kathy Beckett, RN, eagerly accepted the invitation from Gary Jackson, Adjunct Professor at Motlow State Community College, to speak to the Wellness Perspectives/Lifestyle Motlow ACE class recently regarding heart disease.

“We are always looking for opportunities to educate the community on the importance of knowing the risk factors which contribute to heart disease along with the importance of calling 911 whenever someone is having a heart attack,” states Kathy Beckett, HRMC ED Director and Chest Pain Center Coordinator. “Although we participate in many events throughout the year, we are presented with more requests and invitations to speak on heart disease during February as it is National Heart Month.”
