Moore County SWAT unit dispatched in domestic dispute

The Moore County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene of a domestic dispute Wednesday morning on Bagley Hollow Road. The dispute eventually required the deployment of Moore County’s SWAT Unit as the alleged assailant fled the area.

“He is an ex-boyfriend who has been charged with domestic assault in Coffee County and pled guilty there. He told her that he had shot somebody in Tullahoma,” said Moore County investigator Mike Rainey.

According to Rainey, when Donnie Price, 32, of Shelbyville, arrived at the residence, the former girlfriend called the Sheriff’s Department.

Rainey said the sheriff’s department was not able to confirm Price’s statements with either Tullahoma or Franklin County authorities.

“When our officer got there, he ran up into the woods,” said Rainey. “At that time, we dispatched the swat unit. He was located and we have him in custody right now. He is facing charges.”

Officials said charges against Price are pending further investigation.
