Moore County Library has plenty planned for February

The Moore County Public Library invites the citizens of Moore County and surrounding areas to come in and visit the library throughout the year. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am until 5 pm. We are open from 12 noon to 8 pm on Tuesday and from 9 am to12 noon on Saturdays. We offer free Internet access either through our own computers or through our WiFi. We have books, audio books, and DVDs. The best part is all our services are FREE!!!

During the month of February we will be hosting several programs:

Feb. 12      Moore County Public Library Board meeting at 5 pm in Director’s office.

Feb. 13      Little Bookworms, pre-school reading fun begins at 10 am

Crafternoon: A Community Service Project for our Senior Citizens 3:30 to 5:30 pm

Feb. 19      Middle School program from 4 to 6 pm

Feb. 27      Little Bookworms, pre-school reading fun begins at 10 am

Miss Betsy will also be reading to Star Brite, Head Start and to Pre-K throughout the month.

Miss Cheryl has a great display for Black History Month and Valentine’s Day.

The Moore County Public Library is teaming up with the Lincoln & Moore County Adult Education to provide General Education Degree GED classes for our community. If you are interested in obtaining your GED, please come by the library and get an application. The classes will be offered FREE here at the library.

Each year the Moore County Public Library partners with the South Central Human Resource Agency of Lincoln County to provide Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, VITA to our citizens. If you need help with filing your taxes, call the library and make an appointment the VITA volunteers will be available to assist you absolutely free.
