Moore County has reason to celebrate again.
Keep Tennessee Beautiful (KTnB) once again achieved 100 percent participation from all 95 counties during the 2012 Great American Cleanup (GAC) thanks to the tireless efforts of our volunteers.
This marked the sixth year in a row KTnB and its local organizers have accomplished this feat.
“Our national impact is only achieved through local community engagement that rallies individuals to make their communities cleaner, greener and more livable,” said Keep America Beautiful President and CEO Matthew M. McKenna. “Keep America Beautiful salutes our state and local affiliates in Tennessee for achieving an incredible 100 percent participation in the Great American Cleanup for six consecutive years.”
Moore County Executive’s Office, led by Robin Prater, collected 210 pounds of trash in the county. A total of 52 volunteers contributed 210 hours, helping Prater achieve these totals.
