The Moore County Raiderettes have been tested more than once this season. Friday night, they passed — or at least survived — one of their toughest tests all year.
At Middle Tennessee Christian School in Murfreesboro, the Raiderettes eked out a 35-31 victory over the Lady Cougars. After a rough first half, it’s a win that Moore County was fortunate to leave town with.
The Raiderettes scored almost as many points — 17 — in the fourth quarter, as they did in the first three quarters combined. Moore County trailed 22-18 heading into the final period before putting together a furious rally. The Raiderettes outscored the hosts 17-9 to escape, still clinging to a share of the District 9-A lead.
