Posted on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 7:27 pm

Surrounded by family and in her father’s arms with her mother by her side, Molly Mae Hankins went to Heaven the morning of April 11, 2012. Though her time here was little, her impact was not. The strength Molly displayed was a testament to many as she captured their hearts with her bright blue eyes and sweet smile. Those qualities along with her gentle disposition are the memories her parents and family will always hold dear. Molly was born on December 16, 2011 to mother Ivy Hankins and father Daryl Hankins. In addition to her parents, she is survived by siblings McKenna and Mason; maternal grandparents Frankie and Debbie Rutledge; paternal grandparents Lisa Hammers and Vaughn and Rebecca Hankins; great-grandparents Elinor Cunningham, Daryl Hammers, and Fred and Jessie Hankins; aunts and uncles Brandy and Matthew Lendley, Hilary and Brandon Greco and Tyler Deaton; first cousins Justin, Isabella, Isaiah, Julianna, and Jessie Lendley; great aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by great grandparents Billy and Liz Rutledge, Charlie Cunningham, and Charlotte Hammers. Visitation for Molly was held on Friday, April 13 at Kilgore Funeral Home. A private, family-only graveside service was also held. Her parents ask that any donations be made to Hospice Compassus, 110 East Lauderdale St., Tullahoma, TN, 37388. Kilgore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
