The Moore County Middle School Raiders had only three home games on the 2019 regular-season football schedule to start with.
After stomping Huntland 40-0 last Thursday in the season- and home-opener, they take on South Giles on Thursday (tonight) at 6 at home.
But the third home game, set for Sept. 19 against Liberty has been canceled, the school didn;t have enough players come out for football to have a team. That makes tonight, in effect, “Eighth-Grade Night” for the Raiders.
Because of that, plans are now to introduce the eighth-grade players and cheerleaders after the game. According to the school, parents will not be in the field but they will take time to recognize all eighth-graders.
